Stadium hosted the "Cat-Grizz" (Montana State vs. Montana) game from 1938-1950). Was closed in 1974. After extensive renovations, Naranche was reopened in 2011. One side of the stadium is built alongside the school, while the other side is built with part of Butte's infrastructure in the walkway to the stadium.
